IR1000 Cellular Modules
The Cisco IR1000 Rugged Series Secure Routers support a modular cellular backhaul architecture, with multiple pluggable module options covering LTE Advanced, 5G Sub-6 GHz, 5G RedCap, and 450MHz LTE technologies.
5G Sub-6 GHz Standalone/Non-Standalone Module
The P-5GS6-R16SA-GL module supports the United States, Canada, LATAM, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, India, and China, with theoretical download and upload speeds of 4.9 Gbps/660 Mbps.
5G RedCap Module
The P-5GS6-RC-GL module supports the same broad set of countries and regions, with theoretical speeds of approximately 220 Mbps/120 Mbps on 5G and approximately 195 Mbps/75 Mbps on LTE. It is certified with AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon in the US, with additional carrier support coming soon in Canada, Australia, and Japan. The module supports GSMA SGP.32 remote SIM profile swaps over the air via 3FF removable eSIMs (eUICC), and is designed for passive GPS/GNSS antennas as part of its low-power architecture.
