INS Celebrates its 20th Anniversary

Addison, TX – (August 22, 2018) INS is celebrating 20 years of supporting industrial networking and connected operations. Founded in August 1998, INS has played a consistent role in the evolution of Ethernet-based technologies for industrial control networks, helping customers transition from proprietary plant-floor systems to open, scalable networking architectures that support modern Industrial IoT environments.

INS was founded to distribute and promote rugged Ethernet-based technology products for use in industrial control networks. At the time, the emerging Industrial Ethernet market challenged proprietary serial-based plant-floor networks by introducing open, vendor-neutral Ethernet technology. Over the years, Ethernet has become the standard not only for wired industrial networks, but also for wireless Industrial IoT connectivity.

As these technologies matured, INS expanded its product and service offerings to support both wired and wireless industrial networking. Today, INS serves as a solution provider for Industrial IoT connectivity, offering turnkey network design, installation, and training services to support reliable, secure, and scalable operations.
