INS Receives Firebrand Award from Inductive Automation
Richardson, TX – (September 20, 2019) Industrial Networking Solutions (INS) has been presented with an Ignition Firebrand Award by Inductive Automation at its 2019 Ignition Community Conference (ICC) held in Folsom, CA. Inductive Automation bestows the Ignition Firebrand Award to eight system integrators or industrial organizations each year recognize innovative uses of the Ignition software platform.
The project that won INS Services its Firebrand Award was delivered to ARB Midstream in 2018 by the INS Software Services and Networking Services teams. ARB Midstream had acquired a new pipeline asset in 2018 which included 36 RTUs and central gathering locations. ARB was required to implement its own SCADA system within four months of taking possession of the previous owner’s infrastructure. Challenged by this aggressive schedule, ARB turned to INS to deliver a SCADA solution offering cloud-based reporting, management, visibility, control and a communications network offering failover capability with store-and-forward technologies.
“To accomplish ARB’s goal for a comprehensive SCADA and communications solution, we knew right away using Ignition with Ignition Edge MQTT would really benefit ARB and have the cost-factor the customer was looking for,” said Mo Moore, INS Software Service Manager. INS proposed Inductive Automation’s Ignition Pro platform hosted on Amazon Web Services, Moxa UC8100 industrial computers running Ignition Edge MQTT and Cradlepoint NetCloud Perimeter SD-WAN. “In order for this project to be a success, we knew the application required cloud-based technologies, SD-WAN and edge computing capabilities”, said Jerod Blocker, ARB Midstream Operational Technology Manager.
