Westermo RS-422/485 Repeater, 115 VAC Powered, DIN-Rail Mount
The RD-48 can be used to extend an RS-422/485 bus or as a converter between 2- and 4-wire systems. The unit can also be used to protect for example a PLC from transients or lightning.
The standard RS-422/485 bus supports 32 nodes at a distance of 1200 meters the RD-48 give you another 31 nodes further 1200 meters. The RD-48 is designed to clip for a standard 35 mm top hat DIN rail.
