Westermo RS-232/422/485 To Singlemode Fiber Converter, Multidrop & Redundant Ring, 12-36 VDC, DIN-Rail Mount.

LD-63 is used to build a multidrop network over fibre where connected equipment has either an RS-232 or RS-422/485 interface. As the fibre is completely insensitive to external interference it is the perfect solution for applications in environments exposed to high levels of interference. LD-63 supports data rates up to 1.5 Mbit/s and ranges up to 25 km (15.53 mi) with singlemode cable. LD-63 can be used together with, e.g. MD-62 or MD-63 at the beginning or end of a multidrop circuit, to make the solution more cost effective. LD-63 is intended for mounting on a 35 mm DIN-rail, where the modem is attached and locked in a single action.
